Do points and elite nights still count when you book Conrad Tokyo through an advisor? Yes, provided the rate participates in Hilton Honors. If breakfast and hotel credit have you reconsidering how to book, that settles the first concern. You can keep using your existing status and receive the additional benefits.

Your membership number goes directly into the hotel reservation at booking. The hotel can see your status, reservation, room type and recorded benefits. With that practical question answered, there is something more interesting to decide: how you want to spend your time in Tokyo.

Ginza Nearby, a Longer View Beyond

A proper afternoon of shopping in Ginza and time back at the hotel can both belong in the itinerary. Conrad Tokyo sits high above Shiodome, with views toward Hamarikyu Gardens and the Tokyo Bay skyline. Ginza’s shopping street is a 5-minute walk away. Shopping close by, a view stretching farther out: the combination makes sense for the same trip.

Indoors, the design draws on Sumie’s black-and-white lines and mon, the entrances to homes and shrines. I like having something that specific to look for. Tokyo can hold your attention inside the hotel, too. Give yourself some waking hours to notice.

Start with Where You Want Breakfast

If you want breakfast at the hotel, the advisor-only package becomes interesting. On the dates I checked, the advisor-only rate at Conrad Tokyo was 377,854 yen, below the public rate for the same King Room.

It included daily breakfast for two, hotel credit and VIP treatment. Double Hilton Honors points also appeared in the hotel’s own rate description. If breakfast was already part of your plans, those benefits have a purpose. There is little sense in rearranging your mornings just to use something included in the booking.

There was also a rate of 336,020 yen for the same room type, without double points. Start there if keeping the cash outlay down matters most. If you plan to spend time at the hotel, consider the breakfast-and-points package. The extra benefits need to suit the stay you want. Collect the points along the way; let the holiday follow your own interests.

The Same Room Name Can Include Different Things

Choosing the room does not finish the comparison. At hotels such as Hilton, Hyatt and Accor, the particular rate must participate in the relevant loyalty programme. A membership number recorded in the reservation does not establish earning eligibility by itself.

At Peninsula and Mandarin Oriental, where there is no traditional points programme, check whether breakfast, hotel credit and upgrade priority are recorded. I compare advisor, public and promotional rates for your dates, then make sure the confirmation spells out breakfast and benefits. The same room on the same night can come with different inclusions. You should be deciding which you will use, without having to guess what the rate contains.

Let Dinner Bring You Back

A Tokyo itinerary can grow very quickly. Ginza, the business districts, Toyosu Fish Market or Hamarikyu Gardens can fill the daytime plans. Dinner is a chance to leave room for the hotel. Going to fewer places can still make a good day.

China Blue serves Chinese cuisine, Collage offers modern French cooking, and Kazahana brings contemporary expression to traditional Japanese dishes. Look at the restaurants while choosing the hotel. They give the return a purpose: decide what you feel like eating, then let dinner help set the time to come back.

Check the view before booking, too. The King Room compared here has a city view. The hotel’s outlook toward the gardens and Tokyo Bay does not automatically come with it. Tell me which view matters so I can pass the request to the hotel before booking.

Sometimes the App Is Enough

For a free night using points, book directly in the app. Award stays do not receive the added advisor amenities described here. A lower public special rate belongs in the comparison, too.

An advisor has to leave room for the answer to be somewhere else. Otherwise, all that arithmetic starts to look like an elaborate way of finding myself work.
