Conrad Tokyo in Foliage Season: The Same Room, ¥180,000 Cheaper
Tokyo hotel rooms are famously small. Conrad Tokyo goes the other way: the smallest room is 48 square meters (about 517 square feet) with a 3-meter ceiling, and the hotel calls it one of the largest standard rooms in the city.
But the room is not today’s story. The price gap is.
Live rates: one room, two prices
Late November is peak autumn foliage in Tokyo. I pulled live rates for November 24–27, 2026, two adults, three nights, for the same King City room (48 sqm, floors 30–36, city view), on the same terms on both sides — free cancellation, no prepayment:
I did not negotiate that. The hotel’s Virtuoso terms read “Stay 3 Nights or More & Enjoy Daily 33.33% off,” which is stay-three-pay-two, so the gap is exactly a third.
For the record: the cheapest public rate on those dates (¥458,877, breakfast included) is non-refundable and takes a deposit. The rate I can book is ¥97,556 cheaper than that one too, and it is refundable.
Beyond the discount, the rate includes four things

The discount and the benefits apply together. It is not one or the other.
The rooms: floors 30 to 36, from 48 square meters
291 rooms in all, 68 of them suites, from 48 to 226 square meters, plus 62 connecting rooms. Rooms face one of two ways: City rooms look at the skyline; Garden/Bay rooms look over Hamarikyu Gardens and Tokyo Bay.
The 3-meter ceiling is the most underrated thing about this hotel. In a city where space is the constraint, the same floor area with that much height feels like a different room, and over three nights you notice it.
Bathrooms
Twin sinks, a rain shower, a free-standing tub and a separate enclosed toilet — the wet and dry areas are split. A 55-inch television, and wired and wireless internet at no charge.
Location: directly above Shiodome Station
The hotel sits on top of Shiodome Station. Shimbashi JR station is a seven-minute walk, Ginza a ten-minute stroll. Haneda is 25 minutes by car, Narita about 80, Tokyo Station 15. There is a direct line to Toyosu Market in about 30 minutes, useful if a sushi breakfast at the market is on your list.
Inside the building
The 29th floor holds a 1,400-square-meter spa with ten treatment rooms — the largest of its kind in Tokyo, by the hotel’s account — and a 25-meter indoor pool on the same floor, done in an ink-painting theme. The executive lounge on the 37th floor looks over Tokyo Bay and Hamarikyu.
Dining runs from kaiseki, sushi and teppan counters to French on the 28th floor, Cantonese with a private room and walk-in wine cellar, and the lobby-level lounge known for its afternoon tea.
Three things to know before you book
- Three nights minimum. The rate does not exist for shorter stays.
- Valid through December 31. Foliage week in late November is the tightest stretch for rooms.
- Tax included, free cancellation, no prepayment.
