New Year’s Eve at Capella Bangkok: Stay Four Nights and the Gala Dinner Is On the House
Most New Year’s Eve advice about Bangkok is about where to watch the fireworks. Where you sleep gets far less attention, and this year it deserves some.
Capella Bangkok sits on the Chao Phraya River and placed third on The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2025. It has just 101 rooms and suites. The entry-level room is 61 square meters, every room has a river-facing balcony, more than 18 have a private outdoor plunge pool, and seven villas with their own gardens sit right on the riverbank.
The New Year offer: Midnight Magic
Book a suite or a villa for four nights or more and the New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner for two is included. To put a number on that: the hotel sells additional seats at THB 33,000 per adult (about $1,000), so the dinner for two is worth THB 66,000, roughly $2,000. This is not a fruit-basket kind of perk.
The stay window is December 28, 2026 to January 3, 2027, and you cannot check out on December 31.

The hotel’s gala and the booking benefits are two separate things. You get both; there is no choosing.
What I really want you to notice is the date
The New Year rate takes a deposit, and free cancellation ends 90 days before arrival. Count back from December 29 and that is September 30.
That urgency is not mine; it is written into the rate terms. Change or cancel after that date and it costs money — and holiday inventory is thin to begin with, so the squeeze comes from both sides. Right now is the comfortable window.
The rooms
Rooms start at 61 square meters, all with a river-facing balcony. Eight Verandah rooms and two Verandah suites have a private outdoor plunge pool looking straight onto the river. The seven riverside villas come with a private garden and pool; the Villa King is 259 square meters by the hotel’s description, and there is a two-bedroom version.
In the building
Côte by Mauro Colagreco, the three-Michelin-star chef’s restaurant. A 24-hour Capella Culturist — a personal assistant — for every room. A complimentary shuttle boat to ICONSIAM and the Skytrain, which spares you Bangkok traffic.
