Easter Weekend at The Resort at Pelican Hill: How to Do It, From Someone Who Has
The last time I stayed in a Bungalow at Pelican Hill, the door opened onto a double-height living room with a fireplace and, beyond the terrace, the whole Newport Coast shoreline laid out along the Pacific. A glass of wine on that terrace at sunset is a quiet kind of luxury that is hard to put into words.
The food was the surprise. Oysters with lemon at Andrea. Brunch by the Coliseum Pool — palms overhead, that iconic round pool in front of you, salmon eggs Benedict and a glass of white. That is what a Southern California weekend should feel like.
