A House You Want to Borrow for the Weekend
Looking at Pelican Hill, I start imagining borrowing a house for the weekend. Somewhere with a living room that could claim half the afternoon, a place to sit and look at the ocean, and rooms you want to return to after dinner. Staying in becomes a perfectly respectable holiday ambition.
The Bungalow’s double-height living room has a fireplace. An ocean-facing terrace brings the Pacific into view. Beyond the Italian-inspired architecture, palms and lawns, the Newport Coast shoreline supplies the setting. Imagine watching the ocean’s color slowly darken toward evening. An early dinner reservation starts to feel like something to reconsider.
The layout helps make that wish plausible. Bungalows and Villas spread along terraced lanes, with space between the residential areas. The accommodation has room around it as well as within it. That matters when the point of the trip is to spend time where you are staying.

I would let brunch and the Easter program take the main places in the schedule. Leave the remaining time for whatever the family feels like doing. A holiday with children benefits from having something definite to look forward to and some room around it.
