Casa J.K. Place Roma: A Home Around the Corner From the Pantheon
Italy’s boutique luxury brand J.K. Place has opened its fourth house, in Rome. Florence in 2003, Capri in 2007, Paros in 2019 — and now, twenty-three years after the first, a home on one of the small streets at the very center of Rome: Via dei Prefetti 22.
How central, exactly

Out the door, past the parliament building, round the corner. No taxis, no waiting for an Uber — the Eternal City on foot, every day.
Why “Casa”
These are not conventional hotel rooms but apartment-style suites of up to two bedrooms: a separate living room, dining room, walk-in closet and marble bathroom, and a private chef can cook for guests in the suite. It suits a long honeymoon, three generations traveling together, a small group, or a business trip where you need to entertain in Rome.

The designer behind all four J.K. Place houses. Handmade furniture, art chosen like a curator, layered texture — the quiet, exacting J.K. signature intact. The restaurant is Al Ventidue, named for the street number: a glass dome and a travertine nymphaeum fountain.

A word on timing
Opening-season inventory is limited, and honeymoon season, Christmas and New Year’s sell out first. If Rome is on your calendar for the end of this year or the first half of next, this is the time to hold it. It pairs naturally with Amalfi, Capri and Florence.
