Faena New York: Which Room and Rate Should You Book?

Faena New York suits travelers who want West Chelsea to anchor their trip: galleries, the High Line, and time for art and drinks back at the hotel. Based on hotel information and the rates I checked, I would choose it for that kind of New York visit. I have not stayed here. If you will return only to sleep, its elaborate public rooms may get little use.
For three nights, 17–20 November 2026, one room for two adults, the Classic King Virtuoso rate totals $4,474.15, including taxes but excluding surcharges; the surcharge amount remains to be confirmed. This rate allows free cancellation until three days before arrival. If seeing the High Line from your room matters, book High Line King directly. An upgrade is subject to availability and does not guarantee that view.
Leave time for the art and bars
Faena gives you a reason to keep looking at art after the galleries close. In The Cathedral lobby, Diego Gravinese’s The Sefirotic Journey extends across 105 feet. Upstairs, a Keith Haring original hangs behind protective glass in the second-floor corridor. That corridor belongs on the itinerary alongside the galleries, rather than somewhere you happen to pass on the way to bed.
The bar level changes the picture: gold bulbs form a dome, while a painting shows a panther among roses against a gold background. Travelers who like restrained interiors may find it too much. If theatrical rooms appeal, leave time for a drink here instead of treating the bar as a brief stop before dinner.
The Living Room has live music, and El Secreto is an unmarked underground speakeasy. These are reasons to spend part of an evening in the hotel, particularly if its public spaces helped persuade you to book.

Keep your days centered on West Chelsea
The hotel occupies the lower floors of One High Line’s east tower, beside the High Line. Around West 18th Street, the walkway runs above traffic, with trees along its sides. The guest-room photograph shows West Chelsea rooftops and the Empire State Building farther away. There is a neighborhood to explore nearby and a skyline beyond it.
Chelsea Market is seven to ten minutes away on foot; the Whitney is ten to twelve minutes south. In November, the High Line stays open until 10pm. You can leave that walk until after dinner rather than fitting it between gallery visits. This location makes particular sense when those places already feature in your plans.

Choose the view before moving up a category
Classic King, Deluxe King and High Line King are all 400 square feet. Classic King faces 17th Street; Deluxe King lists courtyard or city views. High Line King is the category whose description explicitly names the park. Moving up through those names changes the outlook, not the amount of room.
For three nights, 17–20 November 2026, one room for two adults, High Line King totals $5,647.94, including taxes but excluding surcharges; the surcharge amount remains to be confirmed. If the park view is a reason for the trip, put the room budget here. If the outlook matters less, Classic King gives you the same floor area.
For more space, look at Signature Corner King or the suites. The suite-bedroom photograph has a burl headboard, a black-and-gold bed runner and a cloud-pattern rug. It is an appealing room to look at, but choose a suite for its space and how you intend to use it. Confirm its view separately.

Reserve the spa separately
For a November visit, leave an afternoon for Tierra Santa Healing House. Its Thermal Sanctuary combines a hammam, steam room, dry sauna, infrared sauna and five pools at different temperatures. The photograph shows marble and mosaic pools. The spa continues the hotel’s taste for elaborate interiors.
The spa is fully operating in 2026. The room rates quoted here do not explicitly include Thermal Sanctuary access, however. Charges and reservations need a separate check. Finding an available room does not confirm a spa appointment.

Keep dinner optional, and compare the booking terms
Francis Mallmann’s live-fire cooking makes La Boca tempting. But Helen Rosner’s November 2025 review in The New Yorker was severe, so I would not build the trip’s dinner expectations around it. Restaurant reservations and Faena Theater programming or tickets need separate confirmation from the room booking.
On the dates checked, the public flexible Classic King rate matched the Virtuoso rate above. Virtuoso added daily breakfast for two; the corresponding rate for stays of three nights or more also included a $250 hotel credit. Confirm where that credit can be used. Upgrades, early check-in and late checkout remain subject to availability.
For three nights, 17–20 November 2026, one room for two adults, the public non-refundable Classic King rate totals $3,805.50, including taxes but excluding surcharges and breakfast; the surcharge amount remains to be confirmed. If your dates are fixed and you accept the non-refundable terms, this is the cheaper choice.
Before booking, I’ll re-price your dates and compare advisor, public and promotional rates. I’ll make sure the confirmation spells out breakfast, the credit’s eligible uses, the cancellation deadline and any prepayment, with surcharges clarified. For families, occupancy and children’s breakfast rules also need confirmation before booking.
Want live rates for your own dates at Faena New York?
Check my own datesStay rates are checked again. Event places, dining and other services require a separate enquiry unless explicitly included.
Rates are live pulls taken on 4 October 2026, on one basis throughout: one room, two adults, US dollars, total after tax. Primary window 17–20 November 2026 (three nights); comparison window 30 October – 2 November 2026 (three nights); both compare the same Classic King Room. Differences and percentages are arithmetic on those totals, not quotes; the bookable price is whatever the live pull returns at the time of booking. The advisor rate and the public flexible rate are the same number, with amenities added on top; upgrades and early check-in / late checkout are subject to availability. Rate terms read “includes tax, excludes surcharges.” The hotel’s own packages are publicly available to any guest and are governed by its published terms; nothing published states whether they combine with Virtuoso amenities. Hotel and destination facts (opening, building, artwork, spa, restaurants, marathon date, walking times, temperatures, park hours) were verified against public sources as of October 2026.
